Well Played – Bernie De Koven Tribute Night

We’ve SOLD OUT! Sorry if you missed out.  We’ve got loads more amazing events to come…

Bernie De Koven was an American Games Designer, author, lecturer and fun theorist.  He was dearly loved by so many and a great inspiration and personal mentor for us at Antidote.  Bernie was diagnosed with Cancer less than a year ago and on March 24th 2018 he passed away.  His dying wish was this: ‘If you want to do something for me or because of me, grieving is not what I need. What I need is for you to continue your play/work however you can. Play games. Play the kind of games I like to teach – you know, those “funny games” – harmlessly intimate, vaguely physical games of the semi-planned, spontaneous, just-for-fun ilk, basically without equipment, or goal, or score or reason, even.”

You got it Bernie!  We’re celebrating this bright spark of a soul with a night of games generously donated by the great guru of play himself.  Hosted by Games Maestro Kevin Davidson.

“A playful path is the shortest road to happiness.”
