Craft and Connect: The Little Launderette Sock Puppet Workshop

Calling makers and shakers for the grand reopening of The Little Launderette! A silly soapy sock puppet workshop where you can joyfully craft and connect with others in a playful space.

Join your crafty cat facilitators for a sock-puppet making workshop where you’ll design and build your very own character using rescued socks, questionable lost property and some classic craft supplies!

You’ll then get a chance to bring to life your new fuzzy friend on the dance floor, take on the challenge of washing line limbo and compete to be the best tea maker in town. Who will make the cut? And who will be left popping bubbles?

All materials will be provided but if you have a favourite odd sock that needs a new purpose in life this is the moment they have been waiting for!!

Kirsty Amy Anne (aka Clumsy Claire) is an experienced creative facilitator with over a decade experience bringing people together to make, shake and play together! She is currently a regular creative multidisciplinary facilitator at Southbank Centre, Kazzum Arts, October Gallery and Core Arts. Captain Blue Hair makes theatre happen and the waves take him and his ship where the bubbles flow. The Little Launderette has visited a number of festivals including Smugglers Festival and Corby Family Arts Festival.

🤩 Testimonials For The Fun Fed 🤩

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ “A wonderful place to play and laugh, no matter what workshop it is. The people who go are so much fun and I love the social aspect of going for a drink afterwards and feeling part of a community. A wonderful thing to exist in a city where it’s hard to build real connections.” Claudia Colvin

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ “I absolutely loved the energy during the workshop, I went to the African dance event and it was amazing – lots of fun and friendly people!” Maria Cynkier

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ “Everyone in London needs a dose of The Fun Fed! The best well-being experience ever. We all need time out to be playful, try something, be with friends and meet new ones. I truly loved my session with ‘just go for it’ people. Come on! What ya waitin’ for???” Yvette Staelens
